Fujifilm X-H2S Firmware Ver.4.00 and X-H2 Ver.2.00 Released

Fujifilm released new firmware update for X-H2 Ver.2.00 and X-H2s Ver.4.00. You can follow the links below to download the firmware updates.

Here’s a rundown of how to check and update your Fujifilm firmware to the latest version in order to take advantage of any bug fixes and new features.

Before proceeding, you’ll want to check your camera’s firmware version. There’s no point trying to update if there’s no newer version. It’s a very easy process to check the firmware.

How do I check Fujifilm firmware version?

Checking the Firmware Version

1. Turn the camera off and check that a memory card is inserted.
2. Turn the camera on while pressing the DISP/BACK button. The current firmware version will be displayed; check the firmware version.
3. Turn the camera off.

How do I update my Fujifilm firmware?

Turn the camera on while pressing “DISP/BACK” button to show the display in the right (current version is 1.00). Then, press the “MENU/OK” button. Press the [OK] button. Follow the screen below to update the firmware.

Refer to “X-H2 New Features Guide” and “X-H2 Network and USB Setting” for operating instructions and explanations on the revised items described in the item No.1 below.

1. Connecting to “Adobe Camera to Cloud” has been available.
   You can upload your still images and movies to the Frame.io platform directly through internet connection when you attach File Transmitter (FT-XH) with X-H2.
   Since this function enables direct data transfer from the camera to the cloud at the shooting location, you can access and edit those still images and movies from anywhere, which will accelerate your photo and video production workflow by real time and remote editing.
   Note-1
   FT-XH firmware must be updated with the latest one before using this function. Make sure to update FT-XH firmware after upgrading the firmware for the camera with the latest version

2. The firmware bug has been fixed, which caused that the camera rarely freezes when shooting with flash under the following conditions.
   ・FLASH SETTING is TTL.
   ・FACE DETECTION is on and detecting plural faces.
   ・Exposure Compensation is set to around “-2” using ISO, APERTURE or SHUTTER SPEED settings.
3. The firmware bug has been fixed, which caused that the camera rarely freezes when FOCUS LEVER is operated while shooting in “DIGITAL ZOOM: ON” mode.
4. Other minor bug has been fixed.
