Canon is preparing to offer fast f/1.4 prime lenses to the RF mount system with details including a total of six optical formulas with both Canon RF 24mm f / 1.4L and Canon RF 50mm f / 1.4 lenses, with the latest patent application. Among them, 6 new Canon RF lenses were spotted, including a fast f/1.4 lens and a 28mm f/1.8 option.
In addition to f/1.4 primes, two new f/1.8 optics have been identified in Canon’s patent application. Another version of the Canon RF 28mm f/1.8 and Canon RF 35mm f/1.8, these models have so far not appeared in the Canon RF Lens Roadmap or in RF lenses rumored for 2021. The new patented lenses spotted by BestCameraNews consist of three versions of the Canon RF 24mm – two f/1.4L variants (with only 0.79mm back focus difference between them) and an f/1.8 option. Then there are 28mm f/1.8, 35mm f/1.8 and 50mm f/1.4.
