Sony has just registered a new camera code WW638379 in China. As previous models, this new camera code WW638379 will be announced in next few months. Official announcement expected to happen in early 2021.

According to registered info, this camera has 5GHz Wi-Fi, could be a high-end E-mount full frame mirrorless camera. According to recent reports, Sony is actively developing a new Sony a9 full-frame mirrorless camera that could be a possible “Canon R5 Killer”.

This new camera will feature a 50MP sensor and it will either be called the Sony a9S or the Sony a9 III. So in summary it is a 50MP Sony a9 with 8K Video. More details after the break !

On the other hand the last camera that was registered in China was the Sony A7c. We see generally non-high end models from Sony are first registered in China so this might be a digital still camera; a new RX model.
