Canon has filed two new patents for RF mount superzoom lenses with f/2.8 bright aperture. The patent application describes the Canon RF 24-85mm f/2.8L and RF 24-100mm f/2.8L lenses designed for the company’s full frame EOS R system.

The Canon RF 24-85mm f/2.8 lens will be a consumer oriented glass and the focal range is ideal for travel photography. Canon previously filed several RF superzoom lens patents. These lenses are the  , , , .

  • Lens length: 158.52 176.33 218.42 mm
  • Back focus: 10.00 26.38 43.15 mm
