Sony a9 II Camera to be Announced in September 2019

Sony a9 II camera is rumored to be announced in September 2019. The Mark II version of high-speed full frame mirrorless camera is expected to feature a 36MP BSI stacked sensor.

We already know that  Sony has developed at least three new full frame image sensors: IMX455 (60MP, 8K Video, Low Version of IMX551), IMX551 (60MP) and IMX555 (102MP, 6K Video).

Apart from these high-resolution 8K ready sensors, we believe that we’ll see 60MP sensor on the Sony A7R IV and 36MP BSI stacked sensor on the A9 II.

The 36MP sensor is a FAST sensor with chip-on AF, perfect for sporting at high continuous shooting speeds. So the company will most likely use it on the Sony A9 II

Now according to a reliable source from SAR, they also confirmed that Sony a9II will be officially announced in September 2019 with revolution features. Sony want to release something for the upcoming Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
