A New Entry-level APS-C Camera On the Horizon (T8i/78D/M5 II/M6 II)

Nokishita camera has just updated unannounced Canon camera code lists. According to this, along with the Canon EOS RP entry-level full frame mirrorless camera, Canon may announce a new entry APS-C DSLR camera in February.

This new entry-level APS-c camera could be either mirrorless or dslr. So the possible candidates are the Rebel T8i, EOS 78D DSLR cameras as well as EOS M5 Mark II, EOS M6 Mark II.

That’s because from the leaked battery LP-E17 we can predict these models as this battery is for EOS M3, M5, M6, Rebel SL2, Rebel T6s, Rebel T6i, Rebel T7i, and 77D.

According to recent reports, the company will have a product announcement around mid February, just ahead of CP+ Show 2019 (Thu, Feb 28, 2019 – Sun, Mar 3, 2019). Canon EOS RP announcement is now scheduled for CP+ Show 2019. Of course along with new Canon Cameras, there will also at least 2 new RF mount lenses.
