Some Tamron Lenses Have Issues with the Nikon Z7 with FTZ

By on

Tamron issued a notice that some of their Di/Di II series lenses will not work properly on the Nikon Z7 full frame mirrorless camera with the FTZ adapter.

Tokina is also testing their lenses for the Z-series and first results for the Tokina 24-70mm Ff/2.8 AT-X Pro FX are optimistic.

We already published that Sigma’s press text confirming the current Sigma lenses for Nikon F mount do not have any issues with general operation when they are used on the Nikon Z7 via FTZ Mount Adapter.

High-resolution Nikon Z7 full frame mirrorless camera is now shipping from several stores in the US . The camera body-only priced at $3,399. Check at Amazon | B&H Photo | Adorama. For more details on availability see this Nikon Z7 in stock tracker.

Notice about compatibility for Nikon Z7 with Tamron lenses

Dear users and potential purchasers of Tamron interchangeable lenses. Thank you for using Tamron products and for your continuous support.

We would like to announce that we have discovered issues that some of Tamron Di/Di II series for Nikon mount models may not be operational properly on Nikon Z7, which was newly released on September 28, 2018, with Nikon Mount Adapter FTZ.

We are in process to search for the causes and will make further announcement of the compatibility for every single model once we find the solution.
