Canon EOS M50 Firmware Update v1.0.1 Released

Canon released a new firmware update v1.0.1 for its Canon EOS M50 mirrorless camera.

The EOS M50 is a compact interchangeable lens camera for aspiring photographers looking for an easy way to boost the quality of their photos and videos. The camera features a 24.1MP APS-C CMOS sensor, with a sensitivity range running from ISO100-25,600, which can be expanded to 51,200.  With high-resolution 4K UHD 24p video, you can capture incredible details and cinematic moments for vlogging.

The Canon EOS M50 is now in stock and shipping in the US. The Canon M50 body-only price is $779 (Amazon | B&H Photo).

Canon EOS M50 Firmware Version 1.0.1 incorporates the following fixes

  • Fixes a phenomenon in which some images captured with the Adobe RGB color space may not successfully transfer to a smartphone.
  • Fixes a phenomenon in which some JPEG images, that were converted from RAW images may not successfully transfer to a smartphone.
