Panasonic LX200 camera name mentioned again in an interview at Dpreview Photography website. CP+ interview with Panasonic executives clearly hinted that Panasonic LX200 camera will exceed expectations.
In response to a question asked about the LX200; “At this point, we can’t say when, but it is something that people are expecting.”
Side notes they have also mentioned about their future plans are to improve contrast AF with DFD and make more fixed lens large sensor cameras in the future. One of the high-resolution pocketable model would be the Panasonic LX200 camera.
Panasonic LX200 camera might arrive at Photokina 2018
Panasonic is rumored to announce a new premium compact camera which will be called the Panasonic LX200. The device in question were a high-end model that would be the replacement of Panasonic LX100. Even there were some talks from the company, there is no signal of this Micro Four Thirds model from the beginning of 2018.
What We Expect From Panasonic LX200
Here are our thoughts and expectations for the LX200 camera.
- 20-Megapixel Live MOS sensor (made by Sony)
- DFD AF technology that will increase the AF speed to 0.07 seconds
- Larger OLED viewfinder
- Tiltable screen similar to the GX8
- Built-in ND filter
- ISO up to 51,200
- New filter effects
- Built-in flash
- Price around $900
