Fujifilm Updates 2018 X-Mount Lens Roadmap

Fujifilm has released an updated roadmap for their X Mount lenses in 2017. The 2018 Fuji X-mount lens roadmap now shows off a new ultra wide-angle zoom and a telephoto prime lens.

The lineup of FUJINON X Mount lenses designed for the X Series now includes a total of 24 models to date. Fujifilm plans to develop a telephoto prime and an ultra-wide angle zoom.

Checkout the roadmap below. Once the Fujifilm completes the current roadmap with the release of the XF 80mm F2.8 1:1 Macro later this year, the next X-mount lens will be the Fujinon XF 8-16mm f/2.8 WR. Probably we will meet the this wide-angle zoom in January 2018.

The Fuji lens roadmap shows the newly announced MK 18-55 T/2.9 cinema lens. Two new X-mount lenses that is scheduled for 2018.

The MK Series of lenses are dedicated to video filming. Fujifilm is developing the X Mount versions of all-new MK Series of cinema camera lenses to address the needs for filming video with X Series cameras.

TheCameraStoreTV posted a preview video for the MK 18-55 T2.9 which was for E-mount. This optic will also be coming to X-mount in 2017.
