Olympus has announced the M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-100mm F4 IS Pro all-around zoom lens.
Designed for Micro Four Thirds cameras, the standard zoom provides 24-200mm equivalent focal length in 35mm format with a constant maximum aperture.
Dust-, splash- and freezeproof, this professional-grade travel zoom features. Combined with Olympus’ 5-axis IBIS, it can offer up to 6.5 stops of image stabilization.
Weighing in at 561 grams, the Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-100mm 1:4.0 IS PRO offers outstanding close-up photography capabilities thanks to its minimum working distance of 1.5cm. The lens will become available in November 2016 and will retail at a recommended price of $1299.99.

The Olympus M.ZUIKO Digital ED 12-100mm f4.0 IS PRO combines multiple special lens elements to produce a high magnification factor and excellent resolution packed inside a small body.
DSA (Dual Super Aspherical) lenses, HR (high refractive index) lenses, and Super HR (super-high refractive index) lenses are combined to effectively correct aberration and minimize the number of lens elements in the configuration, reducing the overall length of the lens. By using multiple ED lenses, color fringing that tends to appear in telephoto shooting is thoroughly reduced, maintaining high resolution and edge-to-edge sharpness across the entire zoom range.
In addition to its broad focal range, this high-magnification zoom lens boasts outstanding close-up performance with a minimum working distance of 1.5 cm. It also offers a maximum shooting magnification of 0.6x (35mm equivalent) at the 12mm wide-angle setting.
