Panasonic Leica DG 100-400mm f/4-6.3 MFT Lens Price Rumored for $2,500

Panasonic has already announced the development of LEICA DG 100-400mm / F4.0-6.3 telephoto zoom lens back in July 2015.

The MFT lens from Panasonic is expected to be released in Spring of 2016. Now according to latest Panasonic rumors, the upcoming Leica DG 100-400mm f/4-6.3 MFT lens will have a price tag around $2,500.

Panasonic 100-400mm f/4-6.3 lens offer a 35mm camera equivalent focal range of 200-800mm for the Micro Four Thirds cameras.  Currently users have the Olympus Zuiko Digital 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 ED Lens with a price tag around $400 (click for listings).

During a video interview with Panasonic Sweden, they mention the Leica DG 100-400mm f/4-6.3 MFT lens as below. :

“Panasonic 100-400mm info from Swedish photo fair, comes in late february, priced at 22-23000 SEK which in Sweden is about the same price as the GX8 + 12-35mm kit. another reference is the Panasonic Lecia Nocticron which cost 15000 SEK in Sweden, so It will be really expensive. “

Panasonic LEICA DG 100-400mm / F4.0-6.3 telephoto zoom lens offers an effective focal range of 200-800mm in 35mm terms and will be the first LEICA DG zoom lens in the lineup. The LEICA DG 100-400mm / F4.0-6.3 will have a splash/dust-proof design, POWER O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer), and excels in size and weight. Sounds nice. A little faster would be awesome. A constant f/4 would be really, really, really nice. I’ve been loving my Lumix G Vario 100-300mm F/4.0-5.6, and it has become my go to lens when outside. But, it is way too slow when in the woods, which is where I use it the most.
