Sony 85mm f/1.2 G SSM II Lens Leaked Online

A new 85mm f/1.2 G SSM II lens spotted online which is expected to be the new A-mount lens from Sony.

According to the SonyAlphaRumors found, Zeiss has posted a set of new pictures and from the EXIF data, one of them seems to be taken with a new 85mm f/1.2 G SSM II lens.

Even the images captured with the Sony A7 Mark II full-frame mirrorless camera, the 85mm f/1.2 G SSM II lens on the EXIF data could be an A-mount lens.

Sony is expected to announce new E-mount and possible A-mount lenses next week before the start of the PhotoPlus 2015 show. So this could be a good surprise for all Sony users especially if its for the A-mount system.

Sure there is no specs and price information for the bla but when we look at the adapted A-mount lens market current competitors are not cheap.  The Canon 85mm f/1.2 price is around $2,000 and the manual focusing Speedmaster 85mm f/1.2 costs below $1,000. So the price with the autofocus version should be at the higher end.

On the other hand the company previously rumored to update the current 135mm f/1.8 and the 85mm f/1.4 prime lenses for A-mount cameras and improve the overall autofocus performance. Also according to previous Sony rumors, the sources mentioned early prototypes of the Sony FE 85mm f/1.4 lens.

Stay tuned for more information.
