Sigma 85mm f/1.4 Art, 24-70mm f/2.8 Art OS, 70-200mm f/2.8 OS Sport Lenses Coming in 2016

Sigma is rumored to announce several new lenses that will include in the ART series which could be a prime, standart zoom and a telephoto lens over the next 12-18 months.

According to latest Sigma rumors, the company is actively working on 85mm f/1.4 Art, 24-70mm f/2.8 Art OS, 70-200mm f/2.8 OS Sport lenses. The new Sigma lenses expected to arrive in 2016 possibly at Photokina 2016 event.

The rumor mill is also in talks of the Sigma 200-500mm f/2.8 lens which is not in active development.

The Sigma 85mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art lens is already in testing by prototype and it will be the next prime Art lens from Sigma. The Sigma 85mm f/1.4 ART lens release date scheduled for the second half of 2016.

The old Sigma 85mm f/1.4 EX DG HSM lens currently priced around $1,000 and is rumored to be replaced by a new Art-series model which will compete against the new Zeiss Otus 85mm f/1.4 lens.

The Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 OS Art lens will have a completely new optical formula for the focal range. The Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 OS Sport lens will be announced around Photokina 2016.
