Panasonic Releases Dual IS Lens Firmware Updates to Support GX8

Panasonic released several firmware updates for many Micro Four Thirds lenses to support Dual IS feature on the new Lumix GX8 camera.

Panasonic lenses included in this update are the 14-140mm f/(H-FS14140), 14-42mm (H-FS1442A), 30mm f/2.8 Macro (H-HS030), 12-35mm f/2.8 (H-HS12035), 35-100mm f/2.8 (H-HS35100), 42.5mm f/1.2 Nocticron (H-NS043).

The Panasonic Lumix GX8 mirrorless compact system camera features the company’s first Dual I.S (Image Stabiliser), a 20.3-megapixel Micro Four Thirds sensor, a large tiltable LVF and 4K video recording capability.

Panasonic firmware update on many lenses adds Dual IS support on the GX8

Improvements with the new firmware include:

  1. Dual IS ( Image Stabilizer ) is available by this firmware update.
    (in case of the usage of Camera with this function)

    * Dual IS :Innovative Handshake Correction System by the ideal combination of lens I.S and Body I.S.
