The super-telephoto zoom lens mentioned by the reliable Digicame-Info website, as the announcement of the EF 100-400 f/4.5-5.6L IS II lens looks very soon.
Previously it has been said that Canon’s upcoming EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM lens demo version is already send to select photographers hands for field use. It was expected to hit the market in November 2014.
The lens now to be announced very soon and should start shipping in December 2014.

The successor of Canon EF 100-400mm f4-5.6L IS lens is rumored for years. We were expecting the announcement of the EF 100-400mm f/4-5.6L IS II USM at the Photokina 2014 event this year, along with the Canon EOS 7D Mark II DSLR.
Now Digicame-Info reports that the telephoto lens will soon be announced. There are no specs mentioned in the rumor but we know is that the hood will have model number ET-83D.
