Sigma Rumored To Announce Art Lenses for Micro Four Thirds Cameras

Sigma is rumored to announce several Art series lenses for Micro Four Thirds cameras. Sigma Art lenses for Micro Four Thirds cameras to be announced at Photokina 2014.

This means that we may see the popular Sigma 50mm F1.4 DG HSM Art lens and the 30mm f/1.4, 35mm f/1.4 lenses all ported to the Micro Four Thirds system.

According to recent rumors Sigma will only change the mount of its existing lenses. Even it is not mentioned yet “some” of these lenses will have a fast aperture.

Sigma might bring 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art lens with MFT mount at Photokina 2014

Sigma Art lenses for MFT mount will probably have the same size and weight. A “dedicated” MFT lens design would have allowed Sigma to make them more compact because of the slightly smaller sensor size.

Sigma currently has 19mm f/2.830mm f/2.8, and 60mm f/2.8 lenses with Micro Four Thirds system cameras.
