Pentax XG-1 superzoom bridge camera officially announced. Official Pentax XG-1 sample images are now available online.
Ricoh has published eight high-resolution sample images captured with the new Pentax XG-1 superzoom camera. Pentax XG-1 sample images taken by photographer Yoshiaki Kobayashi and were shot at a variety of focal lengths ranging from 4.3mm (24mm eq.) to 188.8mm (1053mm eq.).
Pentax XG-1 features a 16MP BSI-CMOS sensor and a 24-1248mm equivalent F2.8-5.6 zoom lens with a 52x optical zoom (able to cover ultra-wide-angle to super-telephoto ranges). See the official announcement.

The Pentax XG-1 will be available from mid-August 2014 with a price tag for $399.95.
