Mitakon 42.5mm f/1.2 MFT Lens Coming by The End of 2014

Mitakon 42.5mm f/1.2 mft lens coming soon by the end of 2014. The lens will be available for mirrorless cameras with Micro Four Thirds image sensors.

Mitakon lenses are known for being cheap and they are branded as ZyOptics lenses. According to sources, the Mitakon 42.5mm f/1.2 lens is in development and the  lens for Micro Four Thirds cameras is rumored to be announced in late 2014.

The new ZYoptics 42,5mm f/1.2 Micro Four Thirds lens will start to ship as soon as they will finish all 50/0.95 E-mount order shipments. Mitakon lenses can be found by the courtesy of MXCamera’s eBay store.

The mft lens will provide a focal length of 42.5mm and a maximum aperture of f/1.2. If this lens gets released, main competitor will be the Leica DG Nocticron 42.5mm f/1.2 lens which is priced around $1,500.

There are no details about the specs list or the pricing information of the upcoming Mitakon 42.5mm f/1.2 lens. You can see more pictures of the lens prototype at Tech Sina.

If rumors are true this will be their second Micro Four Thirds lens after the Mitakon 35mm f/0.95.
