Fujifilm Patent for XF 85-300mm f/2.7-3.7 Super Telephoto Zoom Lens

A new Fujifilm patent spotted on the web. The new patent describes Fujifilm XF 85-300mm f/2.7-3.7 super telephoto zoom lens.

The lens provides 35mm focal length equivalent to 127.5-450mm. If Fuji starts working on this lens than it will become the longest lens available for X-series cameras. Sure it will be ideal for sports and wildlife photographers.

Currently Fuji has the XC 50-230mm f/4.5-6.7 OIS zoom lens for the X-Series cameras. This lens could be the characteristics of the “Super Telephoto zoom lens” pictured on the Fujifilm’s lens roadmap below.
