Nikon released ViewNX 2.8.3 software update. ViewNX 2 software supports all Nikon D-SLR cameras, Nikon 1, and all COOLPIX cameras with USB support.
The new ViewNX software update enabled with version 2.8.3 for both the Windows and Macintosh versions are as below. This update includes compatibility with Apple and Microsoft OS systems. ViewNX 2 is an all-in-one image browsing and editing software application for both still images and movies.

Windows version
- Compatibility with Windows 8.1, Windows 8.1 Pro, and Windows 8.1 Enterprise has been added.
Macintosh version
- Compatibility with Macintosh OS X version 10.9 has been added.
- Support for Mac OS X version 10.6 has been eliminated.
