Nikon D5300 DSLR Camera Test Results

DxOMark published their test results for the Nikon D5300 DSLR camera which is currently body only priced for $796.95 at Amazon. Nikon D5300 sensor test results shows the camera scored a point of 83 which is lower than the current D5200 (84) and better than the D3200 (81) cameras.

Nikon D5300 features a 3.2 inch vari-angle screen, ISO 10-25,600, 39-point AF system with nine cross-type sensors, and Full HD movies at 1080/50/60p.

From DxOMark conclusion:

“Compared with rival models from Sony and Canon, the D5300 maintains a competitive advantage in color depth, DR and low light capabilities, and that’s before assessing the effects on image sharpness from a higher pixel count and from removing the AA filter. When considered against its predecessor, or even the pricier D7100, the new model’s sensor performs similarly and so the iterative improvements in specification make the D5300 look very tempting, especially if on a budget.”
