Canon Patent for More Sensitive Dual Pixel CMOS AF

Egami has discovered a patent filed by Canon. The latest patent from Canon shows excellent high sensitivity Dual Pixel CMOS AF. Canon’s patent appears to refer to a more sensitive Dual Pixel CMOS Auto-Focus technology.

It looks like the EOS 70D is not the end of the story for Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology. Canon’s more sensitive Dual Pixel AF tech may be used in upcoming APS-C or full frame cameras like Canon 7D Mark II, Canon 6D Mark II and Canon 5D Mark IV.
