Panasonic has announced the development of a new Leica lens for Micro Four Thirds cameras The new MFT Lens will be called the Leica DG Summilux 15mm f/1.7 ASPH.
According to the Panasonic, the 30mm equivalent Leica DG Summilux 15mm f/1.7 ASPH. prime lens will feature “sophisticated exterior that matches the stylish design of the world’s smallest Lumix GM digital single lens mirrorless camera.”
There ae no detailed specifications and price information have yet to be announced in the press release for the Leica DG Summilux 15mm f/1.7 ASPH. lens

The press release of Leica DG Summilux 15mm f/1.7 ASPH. lens also features that Panasonic will launch a Lumix G Vario 35-100mm telephoto zoom lens in the near future. The design of the this telephoto will also be shaped around the new GM1 camera.
