Canon EF 500mm and 600mm f/4L IS II USM Lenses Test Results

DxOMark has posted their test results for the Canon EF 500mm f/4L IS II USM and EF 600mm f/4L IS II USM super telephoto prime lenses. Both lenses introduced in early 2011 and the lenses aimed at professional wildlife and sports photographers.

From the overall test results the EF 500mm f/4L IS II USM has got a DxOMark score of 25 and EF 600mm f/4L IS II USM scored 26. Below are the comparison of these two super telephoto lenses with Canon EF 400mm f/2.8L IS II USM.

From DxOMark Conclusion

Both 500mm and 600mm lenses are high end Canon L series lenses. Built with fantastic quality. If you’re looking for the best, these should be at the top of your list. The con point is that they are both heavy lenses and they are also very expensive.
