Viltrox AF 56mm F1.7 XF Autofocus Lens Coming for APS-C Mirrorless Cameras

By on

Viltrox 56mm F1.2 Pro Autofocus Lens is on the pipeline for mirrorless cameras with APS-C sized image sensor.

The lens is scheduled to be announced in 2024 as third party autofocus class. Viltrox AF 56mm is expected to have price tag similar to the VILTROX 20mm f2.8 FE.

Viltrox AF 56mm F1.7 XF lens will be available in Fujifilm X, Sony E and Nikon Z mounts. In the next few days, VIltrox will also announce a new AF 27mm f/1.2 lens for Nikon Z and Sony E mount.

Viltrox has been in the photography market since 2009. The Chinese manufacturer is targeting low prices and volume through sales of lenses designed for APS-C Sony E-mount and Fuji X-mount cameras. The release of Viltrox’s auto-focus 56mm f/1.7 is therefore highly anticipated because it combines AF and a fast aperture all at a highly economical price point.
