By on

Fujifilm X-T40 camera is rumored to announced in the beginning of 2021. The mid-range APS-c mirrorless camera is scheduled to arrive in 2021 and feature the same sensor as seen on the Fuji X-T4.

Major core specifications of the Fuji X-T40 will remain the same. Even the company has put the in-body image stabilization in the X-T4 we don’t expect IBIS to featured in the X-T40 for marketing purposes.

For those expecting IBIS on the X-T40, you might have to wait another generation until the X-T50. In the meantime you could pick up an X-T30 (AmazonB&HAdorama).

Rumored Fujifilm X-T40 Specifications

  • 26.1MP APS-C X-Trans BSI CMOS 4 Sensor
  • X-Processor 4 with Quad CPU
  • DCI and UHD 4K60 Video; F-Log Gamma
  • 2.36m-Dot OLED Electronic Viewfinder
  • Larger Battery

First specs of the X-T40 camera suggests that the camera will not feature the IBIS tech inside.  According to release timeline of Fujifilm cameras, we expect to see the Fujifilm X-T40 and Fujifilm X-H2 cameras in the beginning of 2021 and Fujifilm X-T5 later next year.
