Canon Rebel T8i / 850D Camera to Feature 4K Video without DPAF

We think the 4K video mode on the Canon Rebel T8i / 850D camera will be limited just like the Canon EOS M50. This will be the main divider in the camera lineup as customers who need more recording time could jump to a higher version.

Here are our thoughts and expectations for the Rebel T8i / 850D camera.

  • Same 24-Megapixel APS-C CMOS Sensor
  • Better image processing engine (DIGIC 8)
  • ISO up to 51,200
  • 4K video recording without DPAF (limited)
  • Improved dynamic range
  • Same body design ergonomics
  • Price around $750

The Canon Rebel T8i / 850D camera is expected to arrive at Photokina 2018 this year. Stay tuned with us for more information.
