According to latest rumors, the long awaited Sony a7C II, a7C R will be announced on August 29th, 2023. We also expect Sony may announce a new FE 16-35mm f/2.8 GM II lens on that day. Here are the leaked specs of the upcoming Sony A7C II, Sony A7C R and Sony FE 16-35mm F2.8 GM II lens. 

The upcoming Sony a7C II is rumored to feature a 33MP sensor, mirroring the Sony a7 IV‘s capabilities. Similarly, speculations about the Sony a7C R suggest a potential 61MP sensor, aligning with the a7R V‘s configuration.

Both cameras are anticipated to integrate innovative AI functionalities and enhancements, including revamped menus and upgraded autofocus systems. While details about the EVF resolution remain undisclosed, enthusiasts are optimistic that it will match the standards set by the a7R V. The expectations are big for the 16-35mm lens and after the positive reviews for the new 24-70mm GM II we hope it will be a good update. This new lens will be lighter, smaller and optically improved.
