Canon EOS 90D DSLR camera to be announced in 2018

By on

Canon EOS 90D DSLR camera to be announced in the first half of 2018. According to recent reports, mid-level APS-c sensor DSLR will be the first Canon camera to feature DIGIC 7 processor.

Canon EOS 90D will be the successor of EOS 80D which was announced in the beginning of 2016. With the 80D launched in 2016, it’s unlikely that there will be a EOS 90D in late 2017. So expectations are referred to the first half of 2018 for this shooter.

As a result, the reports indicate that the Canon EOS 90D DSLR camera to be announced in 2018 probably at CP+ event.

Canon is allegedly working on a new APS-c camera called EOS 90D DSLR. The specs of the upcoming unit is unknown at the moment but our opinion that the sensor will remain in 24-megapixel resolution. The main difference against the EOS 80D would be DIGIC 7 image processor.

Canon will put this processor first in the EOS 90D DSLR and spread to the upcoming models like 7D Mark III.

  • Newly Developed 24.2 MP (APS-C) sensor
  • DIGIC 7 image processor
  • Improved Dual Pixel CMOS AF

Canon also registered a new camera code “DS126741”. This camera could be EOS 90D or EOS 5DS R Mark II, because it has no built-in bluetooth (also no GPS?). Stay tuned with us for more information.
