Canon full frame mirrorless camera is rumored to be announced at Photokina 2018.

This is not the first time Canon has been rumored to be working on a full-frame mirrorless camera and it certainly will not be the last. For the time being, it appears that the camera is in development phase.

The big question about the Canon full frame mirrorless camera is how the lens mount would be? Like everyone says, the EF lenses would have to work on the camera natively. We’ll see when the product showup if there will be another line of lenses developed for the new system.

  • There is testing at Canon of a more hybrid approach between DSLRs and Mirrorless cameras. What that looks like we don’t know.

As far as speculation goes, Photokina 2018 takes place next year around mid-September and, being the world’s largest digital imaging event. If Canon full frame mirrorless camera is announced in this event, Photokina 2018 will probably stay with this model in mind.

There are no leaked specifications. However, the sources claims that the Canon full frame mirrorless camera is still in development. The specs might change, so do not draw any conclusions about when they are finally out.
