Panasonic G7 Camera Gets Editor’s Choice Award

The Panasonic LUMIX G7 mirrorless interchangeable camera with Micro Four Thirds image sensor gets the “Editor’s Choice” award from ePhotozine.

Their full review of the Lumix DMC-G7 includes features, handling, performance of the camera with several sample and ISO test images.

“The G7 delivers very good image quality, even with the starter 14-42mm kit lens, and optical image stabilisation helps get sharp shots and steady video. Noise performance is very good, with the camera competing with other Micro Four Thirds cameras, as well as some APS-C cameras. The design of the camera has been updated, and the camera feels more like a mini Digital SLR with ample controls to change settings. A vast array of Micro Four Thirds lenses and accessories are available making this an excellent system to buy in to, and the ability to record high quality 4K video is an added bonus that can be used for video as well as stills. ”

The LUMIX G7 records  QFHD 4K video in 3840×2160 at 25p (50Hz) or 24p in MP4 with full-time auto-focusing. The 4K Photo function allows you to extract an 8-megapixel still, and three 4K Photo functions are newly integrated into the Lumix DMC-G7: 4K Burst Shooting, 4K Burst (Start/Stop) and 4K Pre-burst.

Panasonic LUMIX G7 offers a built-in 2,360k-dot OLED viewfinder, fully articulated 3″ 1,040k-dot LCD, improved autofocus performance, 8 fps burst shooting (6 fps with continuous AF) as well as Wi-Fi connectivity.

The Panasonic Lumix G7 will be available in June for $799.99 with a 14-42mm kit lens or $1099.99 with 14-140mm lens.
