Panasonic GM5 and LX100 To Be Announced on September 15

The upcoming Panasonic GM5 and LX100 cameras with Micro Four Thirds image sensors is rumored to be announced on September 15.

Panasonic is expected to announce at least two new cameras for Photokina 2014 event in September. Along with the new Panasonic GM5 and LX100, the Company will also show their new MFT lenses. They are the Panasonic 35-100mm and Panasonic 150mm f/2.8 lens.

As previously mentioned the replacement for the Panasonic GM1 is rumored to be called GM5 instead of GM2, while the compact camera with a Four Thirds sensor will be named LX100 instead of LX1000.

Panasonic GM5 is rumored to be the next Micro Four Thirds camera in the lineup. The GM5 to feature on-sensor optical image stabilization technology, electronic viewfinder and a hot-shoe.

Panasonic LX100 is a fixed-lens zoom camera with a Four Thirds image sensor. Panasonic LX100 is a compact camera to feature 4K video recording.

The LX100 Four Thirds compact camera announcement previously scheduled before the GM5 and in the first week of September. Now according to trusted sources both the GM5 and LX100 will be announced right before the Photokina on September 15.
