Panasonic Lumix LX8 Will Use The FZ1000’s 1-inch Sensor

By on

Panasonic will announce the Lumix LX8 premium compact camera in a product launch event on July 16. More updates are coming for the high-end compact camera.

The Panasonic Lumix LX8 compact camera will use the same 1-inch sensor found on the newly announced FZ1000 bridge camera.

This means the Panasonic LX8 is rumored to come packed with a 20.1-megapixel 1-inch-type sensor just like the one used on the Panasonic FZ1000 and Sony RX100 III cameras. The sensor has actually been manufactured by Sony and used on FZ1000 and also added into the RX100 III.

Panasonic’s goal is to make a high quality premium compact camera to compete against the newly announced Sony RX100M3.
