New Canon EF-S 10-18mm and EF 16-35mm f/4L IS To Be Announced Soon

By on

Canon will announce two new ultra wide-angle lenses in the next days. According to recent rumors these lenses are going to be the EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM and the EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM.

If rumors are true these lenses are going to be an addition to the line up instead of a replacement for the excellent EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 and the EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM wide angle lenses.

If we are going to talk about a replacement than both lenses will get image stabilisation, the EF-S 10-18mm will be a bit slower than the EF-S 10-22mm. The EF 16-35mm also gets slower by the aperture.

According to Digicame-info Canon will announce two new ultra wide angle lenses in the next few days. These wide angle lenses are expected to be the EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM and the EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM.

If these lenses become available with these specs than Canon will reduce the prices of its wide angle lenses. Both the EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM and the EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM lenses probably be cheaper than the current models.
