Sony Full Frame and APS-C SLT A-Mount Cameras Coming in 2014

Two new Sony SLT A-mount cameras are rumored to be announced in 2014. These new Sony A-mount cameras are not mirrorless and will be the replacement for Sony A77 and A99.

According to recent rumors Sony is working on two A-mount prototypes cameras. Two new Sony A-mount cameras are coming in 2014. These Sony A77 and A99 replacement models will fetaure SLT technology.

The first camera rumored for Sony is full frame and a SLT A-mount camera. This full frame camera will replace the flagship A99 and will feature a 36-megapixel sensor. The sensor is slightly different from the newly announced A7r sensor which has the same megapixel count.

The second rumored camera for Sony is APS-C SLT A-mount camera with new 24 megapixel sensor. This camera would become the A77 successorand probably a modified version of the new Sony A7 camera. The rumor mill didn’t mention yet but this could also be called the rumored A79 camera.

Anyway Sony is not giving up the SLT design and A-mount cameras after announcing the Sony A7 and A7r full frame mirrorless cameras. It looks like 2014 will be an exciting year with plenty of new cameras from Sony again.
