Leica has released a new firmware update for the M-D (Typ 262) digital rangefinder camera which is the first model in the digital M family without an LCD screen.

Firmware update version 1.0.0.4 for Leica M-D (Typ 262) fixes a single bug and can be downloaded from the link below. To remember some features of the Leica M-D (Typ 262) which is exactly the same as the existing M (Typ 262) but without a rear screen.

The rangefinder camera features a 24-megapixel CMOS full-frame sensor. Exposures are captured exclusively as raw data in DNG format, enabling photographers to apply the required adjustments in post-processing. The standard location of the screen on the back of the camera is taken by the ISO sensitivity setting dial.
