Canon to unveil the 5D Mark IV for the Photokina 2016 event

More details are coming for the upcoming Canon 5D Mark III replacement model as long-rumored DSLR camera will definitely named as 5D Mark IV.

Trusted sources are reporting that the company will unveil the 5D Mark IV this summer but the name will not be the one like 5D X as mentioned before. The 5D Mark IV to show up sometime in August just before for the Photokina 2016 event.

Sources said that Canon will reveal the DSLR after the EOS-1D X Mark II starts shipping. This was before and more situations has pointed to the NAB 2016 event which refers to mid-April. Now we may think about the same scenario but the announcement would be in Summer before Photokina this time.

Canon 5D Mark IV camera is expected to have many exciting features aimed at videographers but we won’t see the DSLR at NAB show. Instead the company probably show the EOS C500 Mark II camcorder which is expected to be able to record videos at 8K resolution.

Canon EOS 5D Mark IV will have a new sensor with more megapixels and the sensor provide increased dynamic range with a better native ISO. The DSLR will offer better features for videographers than the EOS 1D X Mark II. As previously rumored the upcoming Canon 5D camera will be able to record 4K videos better than the flagship model.
