Canon To Announce New lenses and a DSLR Camera on August 14

Canon is rumored to hold a major product announcement event on August 14, 2015. The company is expected to unveil two lenses and one DSLR camera.

According to latest Canon rumors, the company may replace the Rebel SL1 / 100D with the EOS Rebel SL2 / 150D DSLR camera.

One of the rumored lens will probably be the long-rumored EF 35mm f/1.4L II USM wide-angle prine and the other one might be a EF or EF-S lens.

Even there are claims that the announcement will include a possible EOS-1D X Mark II DSLR. Our guess is Canon will wait and see the Nikon D5 and than unveil the previously rumored EOS-5D Mk IV and EOS-1D X Mk II models.

A possible Rebel SL2 announcement could feature specs like the new 24.2-megapixel APS-C sensor, 19 autofocus points, full HD video recording, 4.5fps continuous shooting mode with WiFi, and NFC.

The current Canon EOS 100D / Rebel SL1 features a 3″ ClearView II capacitive touchscreen, an 18-megapixel Hybrid CMOS AF II sensor and DIGIC 5 processor.

The new entry-level Rebel camera which will be the replacement for the current SL1 and probably be named as “EOS Rebel SL2“. Canon might release the Rebel SL2 / EOS 150D / Kiss X8 in August 2015.
