Leon Neal is a news photographer with a wealth of experience, and a staff photographer for AFP News. Leon started his career at The Times and has since built up a vast collection of news and press images. David Yarrow decided to pursue his passion for photography after a successful career in finance. Jeremy Walker is an award-winning professional photographer specialising in landscape and location photography from around the world, with his portfolio boasting a diverse collection of images spanning from architecture and industry to people.

The Nikon Ambassador initiative was introduced in 2013 to celebrate class-leading photographers working in specific fields of photography, whilst inspiring people to pick up their camera and reach their creative potential. The Ambassadors work with Nikon on a range of activities, from seminars at key events to social media and PR campaigns.

Leon, David, and Jeremy join current Nikon Ambassadors to complete this year’s line-up: Kate Hopewell-Smith – lifestyle photographer with a love of capturing images of people, Bob Martin – multi-award winning sports photographer specialising in shooting action and editorial pictures.

Nikon’s prestigious Ambassador Alumni includes industry-leading photographers: Ross Hoddinott – wildlife and landscape photo expert, Kirsty Mitchell – fine art photographer who recently completed her breath taking Wonderland collection, John Wright – commercial photographer specialising in fashion and celebrity, Mark Seymour – multi award-winning wedding photographer and Mark Pain – Renowned sports photographer with over 25 years’ experience and multiple awards working for both corporate and editorial clients.

Jeremy Gilbert, Group Marketing Manager, at Nikon UK says: “Since the launch of the Ambassador scheme in 2013 we have seen some amazing talent in our line-up. Through the ambassadors we are able to engage with our customers but most importantly, inspire enthusiasts to take a step up with their photography.”

He adds: “The scheme has allowed us to formally acknowledge some of the country’s leading photographers in their fields and collaborate with them creatively to communicate the ‘I AM Different’ message.”
