Nikon D750 Flare Reflection Issue

By on

Nikon USA issued an official statement on the Nikon D750 reflection flare issue.

There have been numerous reports on the web for several weeks now about the flare of backlit photos shot with the Nikon D750.

It looks like not all the Nikon D750 DSLR cameras have the same issue. See below for the official statement from the company.

From Nikon’s Statement :

We have received indications from some users that when photographing scenes in which a bright light source, such as the sun or high-intensity lighting, is at a certain position along the top border of the frame, flare with an unnatural shape may sometimes occur in images captured with the D750 digital SLR camera.

As we at Nikon are constantly striving to ensure the satisfaction of our customers, we have released this announcement to inform users that we are already working on measures to address this issue and will, of course, keep you advised of these as they occur.

Read it online at Nikon USA and Nikon Europe.

Nikon D750 features a newly designed 24.3 megapixel FX-format sensor, a 51-point AF system, a burst rate of up to 6.5 fps, ISO range of 100–12800, and Full HD movie recording at 1080/60p combined with a vari-angle LCD monitor. See the official announcementfirst look videossample images and users manual.
