Panasonic GH4 New Firmware Update Coming Soon

Panasonic is rumored to release a new firmware update for the GH4 mirrorless interchangeable lens camera with micro four thirds image sensor.

The new firmware update for the Panasonic GH4 could be announced along with the upcoming Panasonic GM2 camera before the beginning of the Photokina 2014 event.

There are no details about the GH4 firmware update features or fixes list but according to sources the new firmware will add RAW video recording (on external recorders).

Panasonic GH4 firmware updated to version 1.1 in July, 2014 and improved the reliability of video recording performance.

Panasonic has been rumored to introduce a new mirrorless camera with a Micro Four Thirds sensor. Panasonic GM2 mirrorless shooter will replace the GM1 with built-in EVF and possible 4K video recording feature. The announcement of the GM2 may include the new GH4 firmware update.

The Panasonic GH4 camera features 16MP Live MOS sensor and Venus Engine IX processor with an enhanced fast and accurate Auto Focus (AF) system (approximately 0.07 seconds).
