Sony has released new firmware updates for its NEX-5T/R and NEX-6 mirrorless cameras. Firmware update version 1.03 for NEX-5R, version 1.01 for NEX-5T and version 1.03 for NEX-6 is now available for download from Sony website.

Sony NEX-5T/R and NEX-6 firmware updates adds support for Fast Hybrid AF lenses like SELP18105G, SEL35F28Z, SEL55F18Z , SEL2470Z, SEL2870, SEL70200G. See details and download links below.

Improvements after firmware upgrade

  • Provides support for the following ”Fast Hybrid AF” compliant lenses for SELP18105G, SEL35F28Z *, SEL55F18Z *, SEL2470Z *, SEL2870 *, SEL70200G * and compatible E mount lenses in the future *
    * Fast Hybrid AF is effective only in the central area of the frame
