Sigma 24-70mm f/2 DG OS HSM Full Frame Lens Set for Photokina 2014

Sigma is rumored to be announced a new lens for full frame cameras. The new lens will be called Sigma 24-70mm f/2 DG OS HSM and yes will feature the fastest aperture between 24-70mm range.

Sigma 24-70mm f/2 DG OS HSM lens for full frame cameras will be the world’s first 24-70mm standard zoom lens offers f/2 aperture. This is much faster than Canon & Nikon & Sony 24-70mm f/2.8 lens models.

The lens is expected to be released next year during the 2014 Photokina show in Germany. Sigma 24-70mm f/2 DG OS HSM lens for full frame cameras will be priced below the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM zoom lens which is currently priced $2,299 at Amazon.

  • I only bought a Tamron 24-70mm F2.8 VC last november, man if this comes out next year, will definitely buy it as sell my tamron which is an outstanding lens.
Such a great time to be a photographer, Sigma and Tamron are making lenses which are better or at least as good as Canikon.

I am a f2 person and barely shoot anything wider even with my primes and with this lens….with its OS on top of the fast aperture…i will be genuinely be able to shoot basically everything with just one lens. Will get rid of my all primes. Less junk to carry.

Thank you sigma …now please work on a 50-150mm F2 OS full frame lens please 🙂 I know 200f2 is asking a bit too much.
