Hasselblad Stellar Camera is Now Official, Based on RX100

The Hasselblad Stellar compact camera is now official. The new Hasselblad camera named as “Stellar” is based on the Sony RX100 model. The Hasselblad Stellar is a 20-megapixel compact camera with a 28-100mm (eq.) f/1.8-4.9 Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* lens and a 1″-type sensor.

The Hasselblad Stellar will become available in the Padouk, Olive, Zebra, Mahogany, Walnut, Wenge, and Carbon Fibre patterns. The company has set up a dedicated microsite for the Hasselblad Stellar, but has not officially announced its suggested retail price.

Hasselblad Stellar Camera is Now Official, Based on RX100

The Hasselblad Stellar specs are the same like the Sony RX100 model. The camera features a 1-inch-type 20.2-megapixel CMOS image sensor, 3-inch LCD screen, focus peaking technology, built-in tiltable flash, and a fixed 28-100mm f/1.8-4.9 lens (35mm equivalent).

Hasselblad Stellar compact camera first images leaked on the web. The camera will go on sale later this month. The new Hasselblad Stellar camera price is expected to be between $1,600 – $3,200 depending on the selected materials.
